Before 1st

When i learnt to love
I learnt to love Nigeria, my family, the folks that matter
I learnt to love my best friends both male and female
I learnt to love unfettered not all people equally
I love everyone with the love of God

But i open up me and my emotions only to my
family and friends
Everyone else can only have the surface me
I decide who is worth knowing enough to...

Funny thing is that i decided that Nigeria is worth is
cos SHE is my motherland
and i am proud to be Nigerian
Because God chose me to be a Nigerian
Even though i was born somewhere in Europe
I have no feelings whatsoever for that European country
except for it literary value

What am i saying?
I know many Nigerians b**ch about Nigeria a lot
I am different
Even before i was born again, before my rebirth
I already loved Nigeria
I just did not know it, i never wanted to live anywhere else
I still don't want to live anywhere else
I want to live in Nigeria all my life
I'll visit any other country but Nigeria it is for me

I still love Nigeria
She's stuck with me and i am committed to making her work
by contribution
by changing the world around me
Tis pretty difficult
I might not be as determined to change HER as in 2008
but i have not given up
I am not going to.

I love the cities in Nigeria
the ones i have been to more
Benin, Kaduna, Ondo, Lagos more...

What can i say, i love the Abuja i have only seen vicariously
through friends
For me i am a naija babe, or a naija chic
whatever
i just love Nigeria.

  6. I'm not Nigerian myself but I love Nigerian people. :-)
But as an African too, its good to see that we appreciate our homelands and never forget who we truly are and where we've come from.

Say whats on your mind. Still loving cos i don't see myself ever becoming a hater or confirming to the voice of the crowd either.
